هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة فعالية خرائط المعلومات في تعديل التـصورات البديلـة لمفاهيم الضوء لطلاب الصف الثامن الأساسي، وقد اتبع الباحث المنهج التجريبي، حيث تم اختيار عينة الدراسة من طلاب الصف الثامن الأساسي في مدرسة عـسقلان الأساسـية العليـا، وبلـغ عددها (64) طالبا وتم تقسيمها إلى مجموعتين تجريبية وضابطة، وتم تنفيذ الدراسة خلال الفـصل الدراسي الثاني من العام الدراسي 2008/ 2009. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم إعداد اختبار لتشخيص التصورات البديلة، وبعد التحقق من صـدقه وثباته تم تطبيق الاختبار قبليا و بعديا على مجموعتي الدراسة المجموعة التجريبيـة والمجموعـة الضابطة. وقد أسفرت النتائج عن وجود العديد من التصورات البديلة لمفاهيم الضوء والبـصريات لدى الطلاب عينة البحث وشيوع بعضها بنسبة كبيرة لديهم تصل في بعـضها إلـى أكثـر مـن (92%). وأن هذه التصورات البديلة خاصة بمفاهيم رئيسية مثل: الضوء – انعكـاس الـضوء – انكسار الضوء – الخ. كما وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة نجاح استراتيجية خرائط المعلومات في تعـديل التصورات البديلة للمفاهيم المتضمنة في الوحدة المختارة، وفي ضوء ما أسفرت عنه الدراسة من نتائج أوصي الباحث بضرورة إعداد اختبارات تشخيصية للتصورات البديلة للمفاهيم العلمية وعقد ورشات عمل للمعلمين لتدريبهم على كيفية التعرف إلى التصورات البديلة للمفاهيم العلميـة لـدى الطلاب، وضرورة استخدام استراتيجيات تدريس حديثة بهدف تعديل التصورات البديلـة للمفـاهيم العلمية .
This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the mapping information to modify the alternative conceptions of scientific concepts for students of eighth grade, The researchers followed the experimental method where the sample of the study was selected of students from eighth grade in Ashkelon elementary school, of (64) students which was divided into two groups, experimental and control group, the study has been implemented during the second semester of the academic year 2008 / 2009 To achieve the objectives of the study a test has been prepared for the diagnosis of alternative conceptions, and after ascertaining the validity and reliability, the test was applied in a pre and post levels to study two sets of experimental group and the control. The results revealed that there are many alternative conceptions of the concepts of light and optics in students the research sample and the prevalence of some large proportion of their reach, some more than (92%). And that these alternative conceptions especially key concepts such as: a reflection of light - vision - lens - etc. The results of the study showed the success of the strategy maps the information in the modified alternative conceptions of the concepts contained in the unit selected. In light of the outcome of the study results the researchers recommend that there is a big need to prepare diagnostic tests for the scenarios of alternative scientific concepts and holding workshops for teachers to be trained in how to identify alternative conceptions of scientific concepts to the students and the need to use teaching strategies for a modern view to amending the alternative conceptions of scientific concepts
