المستخلص: Cellulosic labrics re dyed with natural casuarinas dye after application of bio- treatment (enzymatic pretreatment) using brewer's yeast suspension. The dye ability of cellulosic fabrics (cotton and linen) improved by using brewer's yeast [(fungs) saccharomyces uvarum and saccharomyces cerevisiae] which contains many different enzymes especially protease , lipase and amylase . The optimum pretreatment and dyeing conditions were determined. The wettability of celluosic fabrics, tensile strength and fastness properties of dyed fabrics were determined. It was found that the optimum conditions of the pretreatment with brewer's yeast were obtained at 100 % enzyme conc. ,pH9 at 80°C for 1 hour while the optimum conditions of dyeing the pretreated celluosic fabric with natural casuarinas plant were determined at 75 % dye conc. and pH9, at boiling for 60 min. The fastness properties of dyed pretreated cellulosic fabric with casuarinas were found to be fair to good.
