|b The present study aimed at developing the sixth grade primary school pupils’ level in EFL reading and writing skills through using the Language Experience Approach (LEA). Thus, the problem of the study was stated in this question: “How far is the effectiveness of the Language Experience Approach in developing some EFL reading and writing skills among sixth grade primary school pupils”? The study adopted the pre-posttest experimental/control group design. The sample was randomly assigned into two groups: experimental (n=38) and control (n=38), selected from the sixth grade pupils at Kafr Azb Ghoname Primary School, Kafr shouker, Qalubia Governorate in the school year 2012/2013. The tools of the study included a questionnaire of EFL reading and writing skills appropriate for the sample, an EFL reading and writing test prepared by the researcher, and a rubric to correct it. Results of the study revealed that adopting the LEA helped the experimental group pupils develop their EFL reading, and writing skills greater than those of the control group pupils. Thus, it is recommended to use the LEA as an effective approach in developing EFL reading and writing skills at the Egyptian Primary Stage and other stages.
