المستخلص: This paper describes the possibilities of using a system dynamic model to simulate organizational competence and knowledge creation scenarios through a case study conducted in one of IT companies in Egypt, “CITE” Company. Such simulation model is applied to evaluate the potential benefits of creating knowledge base and establish the processes that improve the organizational competence of the company. The applied methodology is based on the causal loops and the trends of "CITE” Company to illustrate the relationships among selected features of the complexity of knowledge creation. The aim is to apply methodologies of system thinking and system dynamics to depict the issues and needs involved in a knowledge creation process and then decompose the complex process into manageable components. Moreover, the relationships are identified to represent knowledge creation needs in dynamic conditions. For such purposes, the causal loop diagrams are employed and theoretical simulations of different scenarios are carried out. The paper concludes that the combination between socializations “interaction” and externalizations “documentation” affect positively on knowledge creation, professional service performance and the competence of the company.
