This research aims at providing a theoretical analysis of mergers and acquisitions in the banking sector. It is concerned with the experience of mergers and acquisitions in the Egyptian banking sector, where the banking sector reform program that was implemented in Egypt in 2003 resulted in a wave of mergers and acquisitions. This merger wave changed the structure of the Egyptian banking sector and influenced the performance of the merged banks. |
