It is concerned with the experience of mergers and acquisitions in the Egyptian banking sector, where the banking sector reform program that was implemented in Egypt in 2003 resulted in a wave of mergers and acquisitions. This merger wave changed the structure of the Egyptian banking sector and influenced the performance of the merged banks.
