يسعي هذا البحث إلي توضيح مفهوم الصورة لغة واصطلاحاً، أو ما اصطلح عليه النقاد والدارسون باسم الصورة الأدبية أو علم الصورة (الصورولوجيا)، فقد حظي باهتمام النقاد والدارسون المعاصرين، إن علي المستوي النظري أو علي المستوي التطبيقي الإجرائي، إلا انهم لم يتواضعوا علي تعريف جامع مانع لهذا المصطلح الذي أخذ تشعيبات كثيرة حتي أخذ مفهومات مختلفة باختلاف فروع المعرفة في عصرنا الحديث؛ حيث تتباين هذه المفاهيم من علم إلي آخر؛ فالصورة في علم الصورة في الفلسفه، ومفهومها في النقد الأدبي غير مفهومها في الشعر . . .
This research aims at clarifying the linguistic and idiomatic concept of the term (image),or what is called by critics and academics ” literary image”, or” the science of the image” (imagology). Thus, critics and academics were interested in the study of the term ” imagology ” whether on the theoretical level or on that of the applied procedure. Nevertheless they did not come to an agreement for a unique definition of this term; owing to the subdivisions produced by the term itself. Hence, this gave way to different interpretations of the discipline : In psychology, the image is not the same as in philosophy and this concept in literary criticism is different from that of poetry . Equally important, this research also aims at clarifying the literary concept of ’’image” from a comparative civilizational view point. More over, it tries to find the reasons that led critics to differ in the classification of the study of the literary image as a branch of comparative literature. This is why we had to mention in this context the ’’egos” vision vis. vis the ’’other” through contra¬dictory positions and therefore, the image is considered as a cultural fact as well as an intellectual and literary vision and finally it is a set of ideas one has on the other. We ended this research by exposing the qualities that must a literary critic hold for the study of the literary image. This study benefited from both the discipline and historical approaches as well as from the approach of content analysis.
