|a تعد خدمات الأمن الوطني من المهام الرئيسة التي تضطلع بها الحكومات لتوفير أمنها الداخلي والخارجي على حد سواء، والمملكة العربية السعودية كإحدى أعضاء مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية وقع على عاتقها تنظيم العلاقات الأمنية الخليجية باعتبارها أكبر دولة خليجية من حيث عدد السكان والمساحة والموارد الطبيعية، ولذا استند البحث إلى فرضية مفادها" أن توفير خدمات الأمن في السعودية لا يقتصر على الآثار الاقتصادية الإيجابية فحسب، بل أن هناك آثارا اقتصادية سلبية تصاحبه أيضا، وهو أمر يجعل التوسع فيه مرهقا لعملية إنجاح التنمية الاقتصادية"، وقد ضم البحث محاور عدة، لاختبار فرضية البحث لقبولها أو رفضها، وقد اختتم البحث باستنتاج رئيس وهو رفض فرضية البحث وعدم تطابق الفرضية مع الواقع الاقتصادي.

|b The national security services consider as a main obligation of governments for supporting interior and exterior security alike. Saudi Arabia as a member of the gulf cooperation council countries (GCC) has taken a responsibility of organizing the gulf security relations as a major gulf country in terms of number of population, area and natural resources. The hypothesis of this research supposes that although providing security services in Saudi Arabia has positive economic impacts, there are also disadvantageous implications associated with. This constitutes a restriction which negatively influence improving the level of economic development. This paper includes a number of aspects trying testing the research hypothesis in order to be accepted or rejected. The study concluded that the research hypothesis is not related to the actual economic reality.
