|a يلقي هذا المقال الضوء على الدور الدنيوي والديني والجنائزي والفني للأواني الحجرية، وذلك للوقوف على أهميتها والغرض منها. \nوكما هي عادة المصري القديم في التنوع والإبداع، تنوعت استخدامات الأواني الحجرية تبعاً لتنوع متطلبات الحياة، فكثيراً ما عثر على أواني حجرية أكدت على أهميتها في حياة المصري القديم، ليس فقط أهمية آخرون وإنما أيضا أهمية حياتية، ولقد كان المصري القديم في دنياه يستعمل نوعان من الأواني: \nأ – الأواني الفاخرة: وكانت تصنع من الحجر لاسيما حجر الشست الأسود أو الأرزق، ومن الرخام الأبيض، والألباستر ونادراً ما كنت تصنع من الرخام الأحمر وهذه الأنواع الحجرية كان يتم تصنيع الأواني الحجرية صغيرة الحجم منها، أما الأواني كبيرة الحجم فكانت تصنع من الجرانيت والألباستر أيضاً. \nب – الأواني العادية: وكانت غالبا من الفخار وفيها يتم غرف الطعام. \nنستطيع الحكم من واقع صور الأواني التي جاءت على جدران المقابر والمعابد، ومن واقع الأنواع الكثير المختلفة المصورة بالنقوش الهيروغليفية، وما تشير إليه من مدلولات لغوية، بل ومن خلال ما عثر عليه من أنماط وأشكال مختلفة للأواني الحجرية، بأن الأواني المصرية القديمة كانت متعددة الأشكال وملائمة لشتي استعمالاتها. \nخدمت الأواني الحجرية أغراض دينية وطقسية فكان منها أواني حفظ الأحشاء، أواني الحب سد، وأواني طقسة سكب الماء إلى غير ذلك من أغراض وظيفية أخرى ذات سمات جنائزية.

|f This article sheds light on the earthly, religious, funerary and artistic role of stone vessels in order to ascertain their importance and purpose. \nAs the habit of ancient Egyptians in diversity and creativity, the use of stone vessels varied according to the diversity of life requirements. Often stone vessels were found that emphasized their importance in the life of the ancient Egyptian, not only the significance of the afterlife, but also the importance of life. The ancient Egyptian in his life used two types of vessels: \nA: The luxury vessels: They were made of stone, especially black or blue schist stone, white marble, and alabaster and rarely made of red marble and these types of stone was used to make small stone vessels, and large vessels were made of granite and alabaster also .\nB - Ordinary vessels: They were mostly of ceramics and for dining rooms.\nWe can judge -from the images of the vessels that came on the walls of tombs and temples, and from the reality of the many different species depicted in hieroglyphic inscriptions, and the linguistic connotations, and even through the different styles and shapes of stone vessels- that the ancient Egyptian vessels were in various styles and appropriate for different uses. The stone vessels served religious and ceremonial purposes, including the vessels for preserving the viscera, the vessels for Heb Sed (Feast of the Tail), the vessels of the ritual bath pouring water, and other functional purposes with funerary features.\nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
