المستخلص: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of a treatment based on collaborative action research and Facebook in developing EFL pre- service teachers' perception of professionalism. The sample of the study included 18 pre-service teachers enrolled in the fourth year, English department for basic education at Port Said Faculty of Education. A mixed methods research design was adopted for this study to allow triangulation of data and explore the multi-dimensional nature of teacher professionalism. The instruments of the study included an interview guide based on STEPS standards and a collaborative action research rubric. The results of the study revealed that the treatment was effective in developing EFL pre-service teachers' perception of professionalism. Pre-service teachers started with a limited perception of a professional teacher and moved to a much more clear, organized, and complicated one as shown in their concept maps and answers to interview questions. On the other hand, they stressed the importance of collaborative action research and facebook in helping , them to solve different teaching problems and realize the varied aspects of professionalism.
