المستخلص: To consider that e-learning through information technology, is a new type of learning styles imposed by the scientific and technological changes that have been witnessed and is still taking place in the world, even today, as we live today afternoon renewed and changed over time, where we look in the fields of science and knowledge we read the names and titles of new and renewable at the same time, These changes have been accompanied by a scientific revolution and with limited knowledge of methods and traditional methods of teaching and learning process for achieving the goals required of them and thus has become an urgent need to adopt another regime is the e-learning. Technology can contribute to e-learning and effectively in achieving the objectives of open learning and distance education if there are proper planning and good preparation for educational programs and materials. The technique can contribute to a large extent in improving the learning outcomes in both its quantitative and qualitative. The aim of this paper is to shed light on the subject of e-learning and its importance and goals of society in its various aspects, where the paper provided a definition of the concept, then the researcher reviewed the types of e-learning techniques used, together with the most important characteristics of e-learning. Then the paper turned to the practical experience of Open University of Sudan in the field of e-learning and the extent of contribute in the educational goals of members of society, with an indication of the most important obstacles facing e-learning. Finally, the paper went out to the results of findings this experiment \
