|b This research aims at studying preservation and retrieval audio-visual Archive systems in Sudan TV Library, in order to recognize their reality and giving some suggestions for improving the library in the future. \ The analytical, descriptive, and historical methods are used in the study, in addition to the case study that focusing on Sudan TV library. Also, interview, direct observation and checklist are used as data collection tools. \ The study found a number of results that can be summarized in the lack of efficiency of the preservation and retrieval audio-visual Archive systems in Sudan TV Library and the inadequacy of the existing building and its lack of the requirements of security and safety. \ The study also recommends some points that help in the development of preservation and retrieval audio-visual Archive system in Library by designing and building a modem and scientific specifications besides the shift to the digital archive. \
