The Arab-Muslim World has known a series of renaissance and intellectual attempts since the beginning of the nineteenth century until today: from Arab nationalist to leftist to liberal to secular and so on. However, the bulk of researchers and critics, if not to say all of them unanimously agreed that the failure of these intellectual attempts. This happens at a time when the Renaissance in the West cleats, all achieved their aims, and even moved the west to the stage of modernism and postmodernism, and some of them began to think in postmodernism. In this thicket of intellectual events, our research aims to find the most important reasons and obstacles that have prevented those trends from achieving, of different types the renaissance that has been and is still sought by the Arab-Muslim world. |
