إن قصير عمرة ومثله الكثير من المباني كانت تشكل مراكز استقرار ولقاءات للبدو الرحل في تلك المنطقة٠ حيث أولى الخلفاء الأمويون هذه المنطقة أهمية خاصة، وأقاموا فيها العديد من القصور، كدليل واضح على الرخاء والاستقرار اللذين تميز بهما الحكم الأموي. لا شك أن مثل هذه القصور قد اختيرت أيضا من حيث علاقتها بالمناطق العسكرية. فهي إذا هامة من ناحية الاستراتيجية السياسية والعسكرية وهذا يشكل الحس الزماني للمكان. ومن ناحية أخرى فقصير عمره، هو واحد من عشرة من المباني التي كانت توصف بأنها فريدة فهي تشكل استراحة لرحلات الصيد، ومكان استجمام وراحة وهذا يشكل الحس المكاني للزمان حيث اظهر التحليل أهمية المضامين في الرسومات الجدارية التي عبرت بشكل واضح عن طبيعة الحياة الاجتماعية ونظام المراسم وتقاليد الاستقبال واللقاءات التي أظهرتها الصور والرسومات، وكذلك رسوم المهن والحياة العامة التي أظهرت طرائق النقل للحجارة وطبيعة الملابس والأزياء والحس الشعبي للعامة، إضافة إلى مسائل ذات علاقة بأنماط التفكير وعلوم الفلك والمعرفة والثقافة التي أبرزتها رسوم الأبراج في سقوف غرف الحمام وغيرها،
Like many other buildings, Qusayr Amrah used to constitute one of the settlement centers and meeting places for nomadic Bedouins in that area where the Umayyad CaliPhs paid special attention to this region. There they built numerous palaces as a striking evidence of prosperity and stability which characterized the Umayyad rule. But there is no doubt that such palaces were also chosen because of their relation with military zones. Thus they are important from a political and military standpoint, which constitutes the temporal sense of the locale. On the other hand, Qusayr Amrah is one of the buildings which used to be described as unique. They provided a resting place for hunting trips and a place for recreation, which constitutes the local sense of time. Analysis has showed the importance of implications in the murals which clearly expressed the character of social life, protocol, reception traditions and meetings as displayed by illustrations and drawings. In addition, there are the pictures of professions and crafts and public life which have showed the methods of transportation of stones, the style of dress and fashion and the popular sense of the common people. Other things revealed were issues related to patterns of thinking, astronomy, learning and culture as highlighted by the zodiacs illustrations in the roofs of bathing rooms and elsewhere in the building.
