This study focuses on the use of the term "religious basics" in the modern Islamic discourse. This paper also traces the history of its use and its synonyms in the early Islamic ages. In addition to this, this study will also present the interpretive, religious, and interactive paradigms in the thought of those who use the discourse in question. Moreover, their views of the Islamic heritage and modern life and their methods in preserving the transferred material from the past at the expense of the thoughtful and critical analysis of the religious texts will also be studied. This will be done in a way that shows the researchers trials in solving the Islamic groups' discourse issues and the urge to influence the audience. This explains the variations among the Islamic groups in their rituals and holding on principles that maybe questionable in the view of other groups. This paper will also analyze the values influenced by the religious basics that contributed to the formation of the collective culture and Arabic-Islamic identity. However, this study does not claim that this identity defines all Islamic groups and schools. this is only a trial to uncover the relationship between the religious thought and the political-social life that generally employs the heritage of the groups to serve some individuals and/or groups.
