المستخلص: أرسولا كينغسميل هارت هي زوجة عالم الأنثربلوجيا المشهور دافيد مونتغومري هارت. رافقته في رحلاته إلى شمال المغرب وساعدته على إنجاز بحثه الميداني بإحدى قبائل منطقة الريف. تتميز هذه المنطقة بالفصل الصارم بين النساء والرجال، ولذلك كان لا بد أن يلعب عامل الجنوسة دورا أساسيا في تحديد إمكانية ولوج ميدان البحث وجمع المعطيات. كانت مهمة أرسولا تتمثل في اختراق عالم النساء الموجود 'وراء باب الفناء' ووصفه. وقدمت لنا عنه مادة خام تستحق الدراسة والتحليل. والدراسة الحالية هي عبارة عن محاولة لتحليل وتأويل المعطيات الإتنوغرافة التي جمعتها أرسولا كينغسميل هارت ونشرتها في كتاب أشبه ما يكون بكتب السير الذاتية. والقضايا التي كشفت عنها.

Ursula Kingsmill hart is the wife of the famous anthropologist David Montgomery Hart. She accompanied and assisted him in fieldwork in the northern Morocco amongst Rifian tribes. In this rural area, characterized by a sharp gender segregation, the access to the field and collecting of data would necessarily be determined by gender to a significant extent. Ursula’s mission was to investigate the world «Behind the courtyard door». She was expected to follow strictly the established data collection rules. But, it clearly appears that the process of data collection was fundamentally shaped by her gender identity and other personality traits. Her fieldwork experience was marked by friendship and by her intimate engagement with women’s daily lives. This subjective approach revealed the hidden dimensions of the rural women’s life in a pivotal time of Moroccan modern history. It is subjective in the sense that the researcher takes account of people existential experience and takes part in it using the first-person narrative perspective to present events. The present study is an attempt to analyze and interpret the ethnographic data collected by Ursula Kingsmill Hart and the key issues she has identified.
