المستخلص: إن تعليم الكبيرات على قدر كبير من الأهمية حيث تعتبر حركة تعليم الكبيرات قضية مجتمعية ترتبط بكافة أبعاد التنمية المجتمعية المستدامة فهي ترتبط بكافة الأبعاد الاجتماعية والسياسية والاقتصادية للأمة العربية لأن مشكلة تعليم الكبيرات لا تنتهي بمحو الأمية الهجائية، بل تستمر إلى ما بعد التحرر من الأمية،
تهدف الدراسة الحالية إلى التعرف على واقع جهود تعليم الكبيرات وتطورها التاريخي في المملكة بصفة عامة والتعرف على واقع مدارس ومراكز تعليم الكبيرات في محافظة الزلفي بالمنطقة الوسطى بصفة خاصة، وتكتسب الدراسة الحالية أهمية بالغة نظرًا للأدوار الخطيرة التي ينبغي أن تقوم لها التربية والتعليم في ظل التقدم العلمي والعولمة في النهوض بتعليم الكبيرات والتغلب على الصعوبات التي تواجهها من أجل تحقيق التنمية المستدامة في المجتمع،
واستخدمت الدراسة الحالية المنهج الوصفي الذي اعتمد على أسلوب جمع مادتها العلمية، ومسح الإحصاءات والأبحاث ذات العلاقة بالدراسة،
وأوضحت الدراسة مدى التطور والاهتمام بتعليم الكبيرات على مستوى المملكة بصفة عامة حيث أعلنت المملكة في اليوم العالمي لمحو الأمية انخفاض نسبة الأمية من 60% عام 1392هـ إلى نسبة متدنية بلغت 4% عام 1433 وذلك بناء على إحصائية وزارة التربية والتعليم بالمملكة أما على مستوى محافظة الزلفي بصفة خاصة حيث زاد عدد المراكز من (4) مراكز عام 1431هـ إلى (6) مراكز عام 1433هـ وزاد عدد المعلمات من 18 إلى 22 معلمة وانخفض عدد الدارسات من (148) إلى 91 دارسة وذلك حسب إحصائية إدارة التربية والتعليم – قسم تعليم الكبيرات بالزلفي للعام 1433هـ وقد أوصت الدراسة بضرورة الاهتمام بإثارة دافعية وحماس الدارسات للاستمرار في الدراسة، وضرورة توفير فرص عمل مناسبة للخريجات.

The education of adult women is of great importance, as the education movement for women is a societal issue linked to all dimensions of sustainable social development. It is linked to all the social, political and economic dimensions of the Arab nation, because the problem of adult female education does not end with alphabetical literacy but continues beyond liberation from illiteracy.
The present study aims to identify the reality of women’s adult education efforts and its historical development in the Kingdom in general, and to identify the reality of adult education centers and schools of the Zulfi governorate, in the central region in particular. The present study is of great significance because of the serious roles that education, in light of scientific progress and globalization, should play in respect to promoting the education of adult women and overcoming the difficulties they face, in order to achieve sustainable development in society.
The current study used the descriptive methodological approach which relied upon the approach of collecting its scientific material, surveying statistics and researches related to the study.
The study showed the extent of development and concern in the education of adult women in the Kingdom in general. The Kingdom announced on World Literacy Day that the illiteracy rate decreased from 60% in 1392 AH to a low percentage of 4% in 1433 AH, based on statistics published by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom. As for the governorate of Zulfi in particular, where the number of centers increased from 4 in 1431 AH to 6 centers in 1433 AH, the number of female teachers increased from 18 to 22 and the number of female students decreased from 148 to 91, according to the statistics of the Department of Education; the department of Adult Women’s Education in Zulfi for the year 1433 AH.
The study recommended the need to pay attention to the motivation and enthusiasm of students to continue studying and to provide suitable job opportunities for female graduates.
