تمثل ثلاثية "أطياف الأزقة المهجورة" للكاتب السعودي تركي الحمد عملاً روائياً ضخماً يسهم في تأصيل الفن الروائي في أدب الخليج العربي المعاصر، وهي تعني بإشكالية الحرية التي تتخذها هاجساً رئيساً في أجزائها الثلاثة ("العدافي" و"الشميسي" و"الكراديب"). وقد تراءى هاجس الحرية - كما أوضح البحث - في الجوانب السياسية، والاجتماعية والدينية والميتافيزيقية. ويبدو الكاتب في معالجة هذا الهاجس معتدَّا بالتجربة التي يمتح من رصيها الفكري العالمي. هذا من حيث المضامين، أما من حيث الأداء الفني، فإن تركي الحمد يوظف في هذه الثلاثية أنماطاً من الأساليب الفنية المعروفة، كالتناص، وتيار الوعي والاسترجاع، والسرد والأحلام، وهي الأساليب التي اتكأ عليها بغرض تخفيف حدة الخطاب الفكري الذي يطغى على متن هذه الرواية، ويمارس تأثيره في بناء شخصياتها ونسيجها اللغوي وطبيعة حبكتها. \
The trio “Attyaaf al aziqqah al mahjurah” by the Saudi writer Turki al Hamad represents a great narrative work which contributes in making original, the narrative art in the contemporary Arabian Gulf literature. This trio concerns itself with the problem of freedom which it considers a main obsession in its three parts (al adamah, ash-shamls, and al karadib). Obsession of freedom appeared, as was shown by the paper, in the metaphysical, religious, social, and political aspects. And it seems that the writer in addressing this obsession was used to the experience which took from its account the universal thought. This is with regard to the contents. But as for the performance, then Turki al Hamad uses in this trio, ways of the common artistic styles such as the intertextualism, the stream of consciousness, the flashback, the narration, and the dreams, and these are the styles which he relied upon in order to reduce the sharpness of the intellectual speech which predominates in the text of this narrative, and expresses its influence in the construction of its personality, its linguistic fabric and the nature of its structure. \
