تقوم هذه الدراسة على رصد أثر فكر وأسلوب عبد الله ابن المقفع على الكتاب اللاحقين في الجانب الأدبي والبلاغي والنقدي من خلال كتاباته، حيث استطاع أن ينقل أساليب العربية من دوائر ضيقة إلى دوائر أكثر رحابة فقد مزج مزجاً حضارياً فاعلاً بين الثقافة العربية والثقافة الفارسية؛ وفي طليعتها اللغة، وظهرت براعته في أسلوب التلاؤم الدقيق بين الألفاظ والتراكيب وبين معانيها من جهة، وبينها وبين مراعاة مقتضى الحال من جهة أخرى. مثل ابن المقفع ظاهرة موسوعية في عصره، ولا تزال كتبه وأفكاره وأساليبه مثار اهتمام الباحثين والمؤلفين والدارسين على السواء؛ فالإنتاج الحافل الذي صاغه بقلمه يدل على تمكنه من الفن الكتابي تمكنا شديدا، ويفتح الأعين على سعة معرفة بأصول الكتابة الأدبية والإنشاء مع تنوع أدواته الأدبية والتعبيرية، التي مكنته من الكتابة في موضوعات عدة، وما هذا النتاج إلا دليل على رسوخ ثقافته الأدبية ومعرفته الدقيقة بأصول الكتابة، وقدرته على تطوير هذه الصنعة والخروج بها إلى واقع الحياة. لقد صارت فنون النثر على يديه ذات أشكال جديدة؛ فنثره قائم على التنوع والتعدد، ولكنه يتصل بوحدة المنهج العلمي السديد للبنية الشكلية والداخلية، ومن ثم فإن كل موضوع نثري صار وحدة متكاملة للعديد من الأفكار المتوافقة في بنية داخلية متماسكة، حتى استطاع أن يعبد الطريق لملامح نظرية نقدية عربية جديدة أفاد منها اللاحقون، غير منكرين سبقه وريادته. ومن أجل ذلك حرص الأدباء والكتاب الذين أتوا من بعده على أن يحفظوا آدابه، وأن يتخرجوا على هذه الآداب، ولم يكن. قدم العهد وحده. دافعا لهم على ذلك؛ ولكن بسبب لغة ابن المقفع التي اتخذت خصائص جعلتها مثلا أعلى للنثر العربي، فأقبلوا إقبالا شديدا على هذه اللغة، وأفادوا منها فائدة ليس إلى إنكارها من سبيل ولذا كان لما نقله من آراء وأقوال وما صاغه من أساليب أثرا واسعا في أسلوب وتفكير الأدباء والكتاب على مختلف اتجاهاتهم، ووجوه التأليف عندهم. \
