520 |b After the fall of Colonel Gaddafi's regime, Libya has faced very complex challenges. The overlap of many factors deepens the political and armed conflicts between the parties of the current crisis. It is not only about internal realities and calculations, which are significant, but also about a serious clash between external regional powers supportive and hostile to the revolution. The main features of the shifts in the Libyan conflict have become obvious through the crystallization of two disputing camps on territorial and tribal bases. The first features civilian forces agreeing on "Operation Dignity" in the east. The second enjoys an Islamic character around Operation Dawn of Libya in the west. Each has its own military and political, as well as regional and international, tools. Therefore, the Libyan scene may be summed up in the pursuit of each party to achieve the greatest influence at the other's expense in light of the domination of weakness balance. Neither of them has the political ability or the public foundation to impose its will on the other, especially in the absence of homogeneity in terms of interest or tribe within each camp. This would prolong the conflict and threaten the cohesion and sovereignty of the Libyan state, mainly if the country descends into a civil war, bearing in mind the misuse of weapons, spread of militias and absence of a strong central authority, not to mention the negative impacts of foreign intervention. The parties of the crisis shall only resort to a political reconciliatory solution, which ensures the interests of all the conflicting forces.
