Utopia and theater are two terms related to the human imagination. In fact, imagination means creativity, unreality and otherness. At the dawn of humanity, man is born unfulfilled and always looking to improve his life. He became a dreamer or traveler. The dissatisfaction led him to find a solution. In diving in his dreams, he draws cities, companies or islands where happiness and serenity ensure his euphoria. In penetrating his thoughts, he invented the theater for fun. On stage or on an island, the vacuum makes man sketching cities. From Plato's Republic, through Homer's Odyssey, to Thomas More 's Utopia, the notion of utopia comes to embody the stories in literary dreams of human beings to a better life. Marivaux is committed to make this clearer reverie. He settled it in the scenic " empty " to make it authentic. In celebrating the ancient Saturnalia, celebrating the Reason, by challenging a patriarchal society, Marivaux take us back to his islands to discover the theatrical and utopian world, on the image of the island of Utopia of Thomas. By combining utopia and the theater, the stage and the island, the real and the ideal, good and evil, Marivaux wrote his utopias which we have chosen to stop and to abstract in semilogoy.

Cette étude s'intéresse à l'espace utopique dans le théâtre de Marivaux. Il s'agit d'une lecture sémiologique, inspirée de Lire le théâtre d'Anne Ubersfield, de trois pièces théâtrales de Marivaux (L'Île de la Raison, L'Île des Esclaves, La Colonie). Nous tentons, tout d'abord, d'étudier le mot "île", son symbolisme et ses significations dans la pièce pour pouvoir analyser l'espace scénique et son investissement à la lumière de l'analyse sémiologique pour représenter les fondements des sociétés idéales proposées par le dramaturge. Cette approche sémiologique nous permet de décrire et d'interpréter le symbolisme de l'espace théâtral et son fonctionnement en relation étroite avec l'espace utopique. De plus, cette approche nous permet de faire une lecture tridimensionnelle de l'espace utopique.
