|a يتضمّن هذا البحث محاولة لتصوير جانب من الحياة الفكريّة العربيّة في أوج ازدهارها؛ فلا يكاد الدارسون والمؤرّخون للحضارة العربيّة والأدب العربيّ يختلفون في أنّ القرن الرابع الهجريّ يمثّل الحِقبة الذهبيّة في حياتهما؛ وقد داخَل الحياة الفكريّة العربيّة في هذه المرحلة كثيرٌ من الظواهر التي يُعين الوقوف عليها ودراستها على تعميق فهمنا للحضارة الإسلاميّة على طول تاريخها، وفي هذه المرحلة المميّزة بصفة خاصّة، ومن هذه الظواهر ظاهرة التعدّديّة الفكريّة وما نتج عنها من شيوع ثقافة الحوار؛ فتناوَل البحث هذه الظاهرة محلّلاً أسبابها ومظاهرها، ثمّ شفع ذلك بالوقوف عند أنموذج ممثّل لها من ذلك القرن، وهو كتاب " المقابسات" للتوحيديّ، الذي يكشف بحقّ عن جوانب التعدّديّة في المجتمع الإسلاميّ آنذاك، ومقدار رسوخ مبادئ الحوار الحرّ في سائر تلك الجوانب. ليس من أجل مجرّد الافتخار بهذه الصورة المشرقة في تاريخنا، ولكنْ من أجل محاولة فهمها واقتفاء أثرها في حياتنا المعاصرة التي غدت العصبيّة والتطرّف والقمع والعنف صفات مميّزة لها، وأصبحنا في حاجة ماسّة إلى إحياء أصول الحوار التي اختطّها مثقّفو هذه الأمّة قديما،ً لأنّهم وجدوا فيها الوسيلة المُثلى لتوظيف التعدّديّة في إثراء الحياة، ونفع الإنسانيّة، وتفادي المخاطر الناتجة عن سوء التعامل معها، وترْك ميراث عظيم شاهد على النضج والتفتّح.

|b This research is an attempt to portray a side of the Arab intellectual life at the top of its prosperity; scholars and historians of Arab civilization and Arab literature hardly differ that the fourth century AH represents the golden era in their life; many of these phenomena have entered our Arab intellectual life in this stage should be stood at and studied in order to deepen our understanding of Islamic civilization throughout history, especially, at this stage, one of these phenomena is intellectual pluralism which leads to spread the culture dialogue. This research analyses the reasons and aspects of this phenomenon. Then he added by standing on a representing model from that century; "Al Muqabasat" book for "Al Tawhidi" which truly demonstrates pluralism aspects in Islamic society, and the amount of steadiness of free dialogue principles in the all of those aspects, not merely to boast of this bright image in our history, but trying to understand and follow its traces in our contemporary life that intolerance, extremism, suppression and violence are its distinctive characteristics, and how we have become in desperate need to revive fundamentals of dialogue that had been inscribed by the ancient intellectual of this nation in the past because they found in it the ideal method to recruit pluralism to enrich life, benefit humanity, avoid risks which are being produced as a result of mishandling, and abandoning such a great heritage which stands a witness on the maturity and openness.
