المستخلص: Omar bin Shahinshah al-Ayoubi (D 587 AH) is one of the prominent dignitaries of the sixth century AH who had a leadership role as well as creative at the same time, his leadership role emerged in his real contribution while taking on the responsibilities given to him by his uncle, “Saladin al-Ayoubi”, who entrusted him with the Emirate of “Hamat”, and leading armies against Crusaders, until he fell ill and died during the siege of “Manaz Kurd”. And his literary role is well presented in his poetry collection which he left behind him, but unfortunately it could not reach to us in complete version. Nevertheless Abul Yemn al-Kindi (D 613 AH) selected some of his best poetry, and Imad al-Asfahani included them in his book ‘Kharidatul Qasr wa Jaridatul Asr’. This study came to bring forth his poetry in a form of separate book along with the explanation, editing, preface and necessary indexes.
