The study addressed The Public Affairs in Jerusalem (Bayt Al-Maqdis) from the beginning of the Abbasid Rule until the Crusader invasion 750-1099/ 132-492 AH: (A Civilization Study) The study included an introduction, four chapters, a conclusion, a list of resources and references, which was adopted by the researcher. The introduction dealt with the problem of the study, its importance and the difficulties faced the researcher during the study. The introduction concluded the most important sources and references. The first chapter contains the most important historical events, geographical and religious importance and features, in addition to the political situation and its impact on the social environment of the city. This chapter has started with a preliminary study for Jerusalem city. At the early time of Islam and the first Abbasid era. Then the Tulunids rule and after them the Fatimid, era and what characterized this era with chaos and disorder. This study also focuses on the Seljuk rule. It ended with the Crusader invasion of Palestine. The second chapter handled the administrative conditions, which included the area of the city and its location for the Palestinian cities and neighboring towns and villages. And Also it addressed the economic conditions of the three forms, Agriculture, Trade and Industry. The third chapter handled the demographics of the city and the progress of the Arab in the past and present compared with other races. Moreover, talking about the most important Arab tribes, the most important Islamic sects and denominations. Furthermore, talking about Christianity and the most important communities. As well as, the relationship between Muslims and dhimmis. This chapter concentrated also on the effect of crises and disasters on the population of the city, as well as identifying the most important Islamic and Christian holidays and events people of Jerusalem, especially how they dressed up, the way they were eating. and burial customs of the city and the most important cemeteries. The fourth chapter in which the researcher collected the most important scientific and cultural centers in Jerusalem. And studying all of Jerusalem scientists in period of the research. Those scientists were divided according to their specialties. The researcher started with legitimate science, Arabic language, social studies, philosophy, science and medicine.
