المستخلص: This thesis aims to examine the link between human capital /education and economic growth. One wonders, in particular, on the theoretical foundations of this relationship and how to test it. This relationship is tested on a cylinder panel comprising 31 African countries over the period 1965-2010.The first approach is devoted to the analysis of endogenous growth models with model Solow (1956) with taking the proxy of human capital/education. The empirical evidence says that the relationship between education and growth positively enhanced by the quality of the educational system of the country. And confirms the positive and significant contribution of education on the economic growth.

Cette recherche se focalise aux liens entre capital humain/éducation et croissance. On s’interroge, en particulier, sur les fondements théoriques de cette relation et sur la manière de la tester. Cette relation est testée sur un panel cylindré comprenant 31 pays africains et, sur la période 1965-2010. La première approche est consacrée a l’analyse des modèles de croissance endogène avec modèle de SOLOW (1956) avec la prise du capital humain /éducation. Les résultats empiriques affirme que la relation éducation croissance et démontré. Et confirme la contribution positive et significative de l’éducation sur la croissance économique.
