المستخلص: عالجت الدراسة تقنية الوصف في أدب الرحلة واعتمدت رحلة ابن بطوطة أنموذجا؛ فعلى الرغم من ظهور العديد من الدراسات والمقاربات التي اهتمت بالسرد في المحكيات فإننا لا نجد في المقابل عددا كبيرا من الأعمال التي تناولت الوصف بالدراسة، خاصة وأنه لا يمكن لأي نوع من الأنواع السردية الاستغناء عن هذه التقنية بما في ذلك أدب الرحلة. أضاءت الدراسة العديد من الجوانب المتعلقة بهذه التقنية لاسيما في نصوص لم توصف قديما بالأدبية (كتب الرحلات والجغرافيا والتاريخ ...) فعرضت لمفهوم الوصف ووظائفه وحدود علاقته بالسرد. اهتمت أيضا بعرض أنواع الوصف ومختلف أشكاله البلاغية وعملياته القاعدية بالاستشهاد في كل مرة بأمثلة مأخوذة من كتاب رحلة ابن بطوطة. استندت الدراسة إلى آراء العديد من النقاد والدارسين في مجالي السيميائيات والسرديات مثل فيليب هامون وجون ميشال آدام وغريماس وغيرهم.

The study deals with the technique described in the literature of travel and used as a reference work of Ibn Battuta and sheds light on several aspects of this technique, especially in texts that have not been by the character of the past literariness (travel books, geography and history ...) by the way, we found that despite the emergence of a considerable number of studies and approaches concerned with the narrative aspect we noted the lack of descriptive dimension inherent in this study, especially in this kind of research can not do without literary texts such as the epic, legend, biography ... which approach remains essential. She gave to the concept of aesthetic description and explanatory functions and limits of its relationship with the narration is interesting, moreover, the various types and descriptions leaning his rhetoricity with all its basic operations, quoting, whenever the work cited above. The study also examined the views of many critics and scholars in semiotics that are interested in such descriptive technique Philip Hammon, Jean Michel Adam, B.john, Greimas, Courtes Joseph, Gérard Genette, between ... other.

Cette étude traite la technique de la description dans la littérature du voyage ,pris comme référence l’oeuvre incontournable d’Ibn Battouta; et projette la lumière sur plusieurs aspects relatifs à cette technique, notamment dans des textes n’ayant pas eu par le passé ce caractère de littérarité(livres de voyage, de géographie et d’histoire…).Nous avons constaté que malgré l’apparition d’un nombre considérable d’études et d’approches s’intéressant à l’aspect narratif, l’absence d’études inhérentes à cette dimension descriptive ,particulièrement dans ce type de recherche dont ne peuvent se passer les textes littéraires; tels que dans l’épopée, la légende, la biographie. L’étude s’est également penchée sur les points de vue de plusieurs critiques et chercheurs en sémiotique qui se sont intéressés à la technique descriptive tels Philippe Hammon, Jean Michel Adam, B.john, Greimas, Joseph Courtes, Gérard Genette .
