The study examined the concept of the field of the medical information, its specialties, sources and epidemiology, the most important services of the traditional and computerized medical information, and identifying it and the extent of its relevance to the beneficiaries. The importance stems from the fact that the increasing growth of the intellectual production in the medical field makes this study important in how to access to it and benefit from it to the required extent . The study assumed that the Medical Information Center, at the International University of Africa, provides the services of the traditional medical information services and computerization. The success and development of the traditional medical information services and the Center's computing depends on its extent of physical and human potential. As well as the lack of appropriate medical information services in the Medical Information Resource Center for the needs of the beneficiaries in accordance with the requirements of the current century. The study concluded with several results, the most important of which is that the services of the beneficiaries of the Center suffer from many difficulties and problems that prevent them from meeting the research and study needs, such as what is related to the basic equipment for the Center and other related to the beneficiaries. The medical patrols are the main source of research for the specialists in the medical sciences in the category of doctors and faculty staff members by (100%). In order to find solutions and in the light of the results of the study, the study concluded with some recommendations. The most important recommendations are: providing the medical information resource center with all the sources of the medical information and updating its collections from the groups in a suitable manner to the needs and specialties of the beneficiaries, making some plans and programs to open the areas of cooperation between libraries and the center of medical information sources in the field of the mutual loan, as well as the interest in training the staff at the Medical Information Resource Center and develop them by strategies, some plans and the special programs for the preparation, the professional enhancement and the continuing education, to follow up the latest developments in the field of the information technology .\nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
تناولت الدراسة مفهوم مجال المعلومات الطبية وتخصصاتها ومصادرها وأوعيتها واهم خدمات المعلومات الطبية التقليدية والمحوسبة والتعريف بها ومدى ملائمتها للمستفيدين، وتنبع الأهمية في أن الازدياد المتنامي للإنتاج الفكري في المجال الطبي يجعل لهذه الدراسة أهمية في كيفية الحصول عليها والإفادة منها بالقدر المطلوب، وافترضت الدراسة أن مركز مصادر المعلومات الطبية بجامعة إفريقيا العالمية يقدم خدمات المعلومات الطبية التقليدية منها والمحوسبة، كما أن نجاح وتطور خدمات المعلومات الطبية التقليدية والمحوسبة بالمركز يتوقف على مدى ما يمتلكه من إمكانات مادية وبشرية، وكذلك عدم ملائمة خدمات المعلومات الطبية بمركز مصادر المعلومات الطبية لاحتياجات المستفيدين منها بما يتفق ومتطلبات العصر الحالي وخلصت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج أهمها\nتعاني خدمات المستفيدين بالمركز العديد من الصعوبات والمشاكل التي تحول دون استيفائهم للاحتياجات البحثية والدراسية، منها ما يتصل بالتجهيزات الأساسية للمركز وأخرى خاصة للمستفيدين، كما تشكل الدوريات الطبية مصدر البحث الأساس للمتخصصين في العلوم الطبية من فئة الأطباء وأعضاء هيئة التدريس بنسبة (100%).\nوسعياً لإيجاد الحلول وعلى ضوء النتائج التي توصلت إليها الدراسة خلصت الدراسة إلى العديد من التوصيات من أهمها:\nتزويد مركز مصادر المعلومات الطبية بكافة مصادر المعلومات الطبية وتحديث مقتنياته من المجموعات بأوعية تتناسب مع احتياجات وتخصصات المستفيدين. ورسم الخطط والبرامج لفتح مجالات التعاون بين المكتبات ومركز مصادر المعلومات الطبية في مجال الإعارة المتبادلة، وكذلك الاهتمام بتدريب العاملين بمركز مصادر المعلومات الطبية وتطويرهم بوضع الاستراتيجيات والخطط والبرامج الخاصة بالإعداد والتعزيز المهني والتعليم المستمر، لمتابعة التطورات الحديثة في مجال تقنيات المعلومات.
