تستهدف هذه الدراسة مقاربة فعل الترجمة في علاقته بالإبداع، من خلال التساؤل حول ما إذا كان من الممكن أن نرسم للترجمة حدودا تقف عندها، ومعايير تضبط نظام اشتغالها، تُتخذ فيصلا بين الإبداع والبدع، تصون حق القارئ في الإطلاع على النص الأصلي بأمانة، ولا تغمط المؤلف حقه في الحفاظ على هوية نصه والإبقاء على مقصده المبتوت داخل تضاعيفه، وفوق هذا وذاك تعصم المترجم من أن يتحول إلى مجرد ناقل لا حول له ولا رأي، متخذين من العمل الروائي لفواز حداد الموسوم بـ "المترجم الخائن" أنموذجا حاولنا من خلال معاناة بطله "حامد سليم" تسليط الضوء على حدود المقبول والممنوع في ممارسة الترجمة، كما واتخذناه فرصة اهتبلناها لنتساءل عن طبيعة عمل المترجم عامة: هل هو نسخة أمينة عن الأصل يسعى صاحبها إلى أن يحذو فيها حذو المؤلف في المبنى كما في المعنى، أم هو فعل إبداعي، يحافظ فيه المترجم على نواة النص الأصلي دون أن يطابقه أو يتقيد به شكلا ومضمونا. This study aims to compare the work of translation in its relation with creativity, through the question about whether it is possible to put the limits for translation, and bring about the standards that regulate the system of its operation, through the question about whether it is possible to set the criterion between creativity and innovation and preserve the right of the reader to get the meanings of the original text honestly? Is it possible to set such standard which cannot deprive the author of his right to preserve the identity of his text and to keep his intended destination within its multiplication, and above all this, they can protect the translator from becoming a mere translator with no capacity and no opinion, making the novel of Fawwaz Haddad titled “Al Mutarjim Al Khaen” models to follow? We tried through the suffering of its hero, "Hamid Salim," to shed some lights on all what are acceptable and not acceptable in the works of translation. We also considered it an opportunity to ask about the nature of the translator's work in general: Is it a reliable copy of the original text? Did the translator seek to follow the same approach the author followed in the structure as well as in the meaning? Or is it a creative work, in which the translator maintains the content and substance of the original text only without conforming or complying with it in form and substance?
