|f This study focuses on the theme of suffering resulting from the oppression suffered by the Afghan woman through the novel Syngué Sabour, The Patience Stone by Atiq Rahimi (2008). The study has a dual purpose: it tries to determine whether the suffering resulting from the oppression suffered by the Afghan woman is a deserved punishment. She is also trying to find out if the state of female suffering is caused by her very status as a woman or by external factors.\nFor this, we analyzed the case of the heroine from the novel representing Afghan women. We followed an analytical descriptive method.\nThe results show that the oppression suffered by the Afghan woman results from the whole of the underdevelopment, from the war witnessed by the country for a long time and from the socio-religious traditions. But also the author presents typical images of women with a certain perversity, and the deep mark of an impurity to the point that their suffering seems inevitable.\nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018

|d Cette étude porte sur le thème de la souffrance résultant de l’oppression que subit la femme afghane à travers le roman Syngué Sabour, pierre de patience d’Atiq Rahimi(2008). L’étude a un double objectif: elle essaie de déterminer si la souffrance résultant de l’oppression que subit la femme afghane est une punition méritée. Elle essaie également de savoir si l’état de souffrance féminine est causé par sa qualité même de femme ou par des facteurs extérieurs.\nPour cela, nous avons analysé le cas de l’héroïne du roman représentant les femmes afghanes. Nous avons suivi une méthode descriptive analytique.\nLes résultats montrent que l’oppression dont souffre la femme afghane résulte de l’ensemble du sous - développement, de la guerre que connaît le pays depuis longtemps et des traditions socio- religieuses. Mais aussi l’auteur présente des images typiques des femmes ayant en elles une certaine perversité, et la marque profonde d’une impureté au point que leur souffrance semble inévitable.
