|b The most important claim of this study is that TV talk show is different from everyday interactions: it has special turn taking organization. Recently, there has also appeared series of political TV talk show programs broadcasting in English and Arabic. Through applying the method of conversation analysis, this study has employed relatively in- depth some conversational tools. The study elaborates on the technique of turn taking between hosts and guests, as well as other conversational tools such as politeness, honorifics, and euphemism. The aim of this study is to describe some of the conversational analysis tools in talk shows. Through the analysis of talks taking place in different interviews, this study reveals that the turn taking rules of daily conversations are not always applicable to talk shows.
