|b This field study sheds light on Lebanon’s Syrian labor force and the legal framework it operates in the first part deals with the working conditions of Syrian workers in Lebanon, such as working hours, rates of pay and benefits. Part two examines the legal framework that applies to the Syrian labor, the effect and implications of these laws on workers’ lives, as well as the network of social relationships that connects Syrian workers with the Lebanese environment. Part three presents the main conclusions and recommendations. The study highlights the need to treat Syrian workers fairly by passing legislation to guarantee the protection of their rights. This, argues the author, would be a key avenue to build good relations between the two parts while simultaneously safeguarding their rights.

|a يسعى هذا البحث الميداني إلى إلقاء الضوء على ظروف تشغيل العمالة السورية في لبنان، والأطر القانونية التي تعمل هذه العمالة بموجبها. تناول في القسم الأول ظروف تشغيل العمالة السورية في لبنان من ساعات العمل، ومعدلات الأجور، والوضع الصحي للعمال. وفي القسم الثاني، تعرض البحث للإطار القانوني الذي تخضع له العمالة السورية، وأثر هذه القوانين وانعكاساتها على الحياة الفردية للعمال من جهة، وعلى شبكة العلاقات الاجتماعية التي تجمع العمال السوريين بمحيطهم اللبناني من جهة أخرى. وعرض القسم الثالث نتائج الدراسة وتوصياتها، وتم التركيز فيها على ضرورة إنصاف هؤلاء العمال، عبر سن القوانين والتشريعات الكفيلة بحمايتهم وحماية حقوقهم، وهو شيء رأى الباحث أنه مدخل رئيسي يضمن بناء علاقات سليمة بين الفئتين، ويضمن عدم هدر الحقوق.
