تقوم الدراسة في مجملها على العلاقة الوثيقة بين النحو والفقه، وبيان أن اختلاف علماء اللغة أنفسهم في التوجيهات النحوية والتأويلات وتباين وجهات النظر، انعكس على الآراء التفسيرية والأحكام الفقهية المستنبطة من القرآن الكريم، والسنة النبوية، ثم إن المفسرين وعلماء الأصول لم يخالفوا تلك القواعد التي وضعها النحاة، بل رجعوا إليها، واعتمدوها في آرائهم. وخصصت دراستي في الخلاف النحوي في التوابع، وأثره في الأحكام الفقهية، فعرضت آراء النحاة والأصوليين في التوابع وبيان اختلاف الآراء النحوية، ما أدى إلى اختلاف الفقهاء، واختيار الراجح منها، كما في مسألة إقامة حد القذف سواء كان المقذوف رجلا أو امرأة، واختلاف النحاة في باب العطف في معاني الواو والفاء وثم وأو ولكن وبل، وأثر هذا الاختلاف في تعدد الآراء الفقهية في المسألة الواحدة، وبينت ما للفصل بين المعطوف والمعطوف عليه من أثر على آراء الفقهاء في بعض المسائل، وتناول البحث أيضا مسألة تعدد الصفات وعطف بعضها، وأثر ذلك في اختلافات الفقهاء، وعرج على التوكيد والبدل واختلاف الآراء النحوية في بعض مسائلهما، وأثر ذلك في اختلاف الفقهاء في فتاواهم. وخلصت الدراسة إلى عدد من النتائج التي تم استخلاصها، منها على سبيل المثال: اختلافات الآراء النحوية والترجيحات بينها سبب رئيس في اختلافات الفقهاء، وتعدد آرائهم في المسألة الواحدة، كما أن الآراء الفقهية للعلماء متأثرة بانتماءاتهم المذهبية، فيصير التوجيه النحوي والدلالي مقدمة لتعضيد وجهة النظر التي استقرت في أذهانهم مسبقا، كما أن ميلهم في بعض الأحيان إلى ترجيح وجه من الوجوه الإعرابية يكون بناء على ما رجح في مذهبهم الفقهي.
