إن السباق الحقيقي بين الدول، وبين العلماء هو في جوهره سباق نحو مزيد من الأبحاث العلمية، وأكثر الدول المتقدمة تحاول أن تخصص نسبة كبيرة من دخلها القومي لأغراض البحث العلمي، أما العائدات الاقتصادية التي تجنيها هذه الدول من وراء البحث العلمي فلا تحتاج إلى بيان؛ لذا يعد البحث العلمي هدفاً تسعى إليه الأمم المتقدمة والنامية على حد سواء، وإذا كانت الدول المتقدمة تولي اهتماماً كبيراً للبحث العلمي؛ فذلك يرجع إلى أنها أدركت أن عظمة الأمم تكمن في قدرات أبنائها العلمية والفكرية والسلوكية. ويهدف البحث الحالي إلى اقتراح التوصيات اللازمة لتطوير البحث التربوي في مصر. واتبع البحث المنهج الوصفي، والذي بناء على خطواته النظرية تحددت الخطوات الإجرائية للبحث فيما يلي: أولاً: مفهوم وخصائص ومستويات البحث التربوي. ثانياً: أهداف وأهمية البحث التربوي. ثالثاً: كفايات الباحث التربوي. رابعاً: معوقات البحث التربوي في مصر وسبل التغلب عليها. خامساً: اقتراح التوصيات اللازمة لتطوير البحث التربوي في مصر.
The real competition between countries, and among scientists is ,in its essence, a competition towards more scientific researches, the most progressive developed countries try to specialize a great amount from its national income to the sake of scientific research, and as a result, the economic returns of these countries are very obvious, so the scientific research is a goal, that is seeked to by all countries the developed and the developing ones, this reason may explains the rank of the developed countries among all other countries, that’s because they understand that the glory of nations is found in the scientific, intellectual, and behavioral abilities of the society youth , so they give a great interest to the scientific research. The research aimed at suggesting some recommendations that are necessary for developing the scientific research in Egypt. The research followed the Descriptive Methodology, and as a result the procedural steps of the research can appear as the following: Firstly: The concept, characteristics, and levels of the educational research. Secondly: The aims and the importance of the educational research. Thirdly: The scientific researcher qualifications. Fourthly: Obstacles of the educational research in Egypt, and ways of overcoming them. Fifthly: Suggest the necessary recommendations to develop the educational research in Egypt.
