يعتبر تل الحير من أهم المواقع الأثرية بشمال سيناء حيث يقع إلى الشمال الشرقي لمدينة القنطرة شرق على طريق حورس الحربي. ولقد قام باكتشاف هذا الموقع الأثري جان كليدا. وتم اكتشاف ثلاث قلاع بنيت على أنقاض بعضها البعض وهم المعسكر الروماني، وقلعة من العصر البطلمي وأخرى من العصر الفارسي. هذا بالإضافة إلى أنه تم اكتشاف حمام من العصر البطلمي سمى بحمام الأقدام. ويأخذ المعسكر الروماني بتل الحير شكل المربع حيث يحيط به العديد من الأبراج المربعة. ويوجد للمعسكر مدخلان واحد مركزي ويقع في الناحية الشرقية ومدخل أخر ويقع في الناحية الشمالية للمعسكر. وتم اكتشاف العديد من المباني بداخل المعسكر، مبنى القائد العام للمعسكر حيث يقع في الجنوب الغربي للمعسكر وتم بناؤه من الطوب اللبن، مباني أخرى خاصة لإقامة رؤوساء الضباط، هذا بالإضافة إلى أنه تم اكتشاف ثكنات الجنود على طول سور المعسكر. ويهدف هذا البحث إلى إلقاء الضوء على أهمية هذا الموقع الأثري خاصة أن هذه المنطقة غنية بالمواقع الأثرية الهامة والتي تحتاج إلى العديد من الأبحاث العلمية والحفائر الأثرية. This Research is entitled Tell El Heer from the Late Period to the End of the Greco-Roman Period. The site of Tell El Heer is one of the most important archaeological sites of North Sinai. It is located to the North-east of Qantara East on the old military road of Horns. This site was discovered by Jean Cledat. Three castles were discovered in the site built upon the ruins of each others; the Roman camp, the Ptolemaic castle, and the Persian fortress. It was also discovered a bath dated back to the Ptolemaic era. It called as El Eqdam bath. The Roman camp of Tell El Heer takes a square shape; it is surrounded by many square towers. There are two Gateways, central one in the east, and a private one in the north. Many Buildings were discovered inside the Roman Camp; a great building is located in the south-west part of the camp; built of mud-bricks, Building of the leader of the camp; built of red-bricks in the south-east of the camp, and another building used as an accommodation building for the head officers. The barracks surrounding the camp along the wall, they were used for the accommodation of the soldiers. The objective of this research is to throw the light on the site, especially this region rich with the Archeological places which need many scientific researches and more further excavations. |
