المستخلص: تجربة الفن التشكيلي المفاهيمي السعودي المعاصرة واجهت مشكلات عديدة في بدايتها، ولكن الحال تبدل فالمجتمع السعودي من فنان تشكيلي ومتلق انجذبوا له وزاد ارتباطهم برموزه ودلالاته التي تنبع من واقع حياتهم الاجتماعية والدينية والسياسية وغيرها، وظهر الحماس لهذه التجربة المميزة، وبخصوصية لا تخطئها العين، وبمفهوم محلي، وموضوعات تجاوزت ما هو شائع، وأشكال مستلة من الموروث ذات مضامين دينية ووطنية واجتماعية، ورؤى جديدة ذات أبعاد عميقة الجذور، ومناخ نفسي ضمن ظروف سياسية صعبة؛ وأيضا بما يمتلكه الفنان التشكيلي المفاهيمي السعودي من خلفية ثقافية وفنية حديثة وقدرات تقنية هائلة وقدرة على التأثير، تاركا تلك الأفكار التقليدية، فاتحا للمعرفة الحديثة طريقا للإبهار وللحوار، وعرض المعارف الفنية، معلنا فنه بتمرد وبتظاهرة مثيرة للانتباه؛ تدعمه القيادة والمؤسسات الأهلية والحكومية والوزارات والتعليم والمجتمع... وغيرهم، ومن خلال القراءة السيميائية المعتمدة على الكشف عن المحتوى الرمزي والدلالي للعمل الفني التشكيلي المفاهيمي السعودي - ذي الجمال السامي الذي يراعي الفكر - تبين ارتباط سيميائية الفن التشكيلي المفاهيمي السعودي المعاصر في القرن الحادي والعشرين بالهوية الدينية والوطنية والخلفية العرفية بالتراث الإسلامي.

The experience of the Saudi contemporary conceptual art has faced many problems at its start. However, things have changed as the Saudi society, including its artists and recipients (audience), have been attracted to this art and have become closely attached to its symbols, and semantic significance that stem from the reality of their social, religious and political life. There appears also an enthusiasm towards this distinct experience with an exclusiveness that no one can miss, and with an indigenous understanding and topics that are beyond being common, in addition to forms that are derived from their heritage with religious, national and social implications, new visions of deeply-rooted dimensions and a psychological atmosphere amidst difficult political conditions. All this has been also boosted by the Saudi conceptual artist's modern, cultural and artistic background, and tremendous technological potentials as well as his ability to make an effect, leaving behind those traditional concepts, opening the door for modern knowledge to make a strong impression and a dialogue in addition to presenting artistic knowledge. In this way, the Saudi artist is making a rebellious announcement of his art attracting the attention to it, supported by his country's leadership, government and private establishments, ministries, education, and the society at large. Through the semiotic reading that is based on uncovering the semantic and symbolic content of the Saudi conceptual work of art, with its sublime, intellect- conscious beauty, there appears the semiotic relation of the Saudi contemporary conceptual art in the 21st century to the religious and national identity, and the cognitive background of the Islamic heritage
