المستخلص: Le travail suivant tente d’analyser les principaux déterminants de la chute brutale des réserves de change au Maroc. En effet, En se basant sur le modèle de la cointégration présenté par johansen et jelusus (1992), nous avons trouve que pour la période 1972-2012, les principales variables qui affectent les réserves de change au Maroc sont :1e poids de l’économie, le solde de la balance des comptes courants, le taux de change, les investissements directs étrangers et les transferts des marocains résidents à l’étranger. Le modèle estimé conclu également qu’à partir de 2008 le stock des réserves de change au Maroc est inférieur au niveau optimal nécessaires à l’économie.

In view of the sharp fall in foreign exchange reserves in Morocco, the following work attempts to analyze the main determinants of this variation. Based on the model of cointegrationpresented by Johansen and Juselius (1992), we found that for the period 1971-2012, the main variables that affect foreign exchange reserves in Morocco are:the weight of the economy, the balance of the current account, the exchange rate, foreign direct investment and Foreign Workers Remittances. The model also shows that from 2008 the stock of foreign exchange reserves in Morocco is below the optimal level required.
