The study deals with the Polysario Front, the western Desert cause and the attitude of the Moroccan states towards this conflict. This dispute in considered the oldest dispute in the world because of the many reasons and various out looks among the active parties in this cause and because of the political changes "conversions" happened in the region. The study aims at contributing towards the understanding of the roots of a problem which has not been solved yet properly. The study raises "poses" a clear objective and critical historical vision which shows that the desert conflict is a problem which can be solved. The researcher "investigation" adopted the analytical, descriptive and historical methodology to collect gather data from the documents and some references and analyse them. The research concludes that the continuity of the problem emphasizes "maintains" the limited movement on the part of the active parties, namely Algeria and Morocco, both of them have the arguments and the internal and external causes that motivate them to maintain this situation added to that the western attitude forward the conflict. The investigation recommends that there are many solutions which must be carried out by all the parties "extremes" as a decisive solution for the crisis. Such as referendum among the inhabitants of the desert to decide their fare or self government fore the two deserts within the framework of the Moroccan rule "regime" or the land divided between Morocco and Polysario.
تتناول هذه الدراسة جبهة البوليساريو وقضية الصحراء الغربية وموقف الدول المغريية من هذا الصراع. وقد أصبح هذا النزاع من أقدم النزاعات في العالم ويرجع ذلك إلى عدة أسباب ووجهات نظر مختلفة بين الجهات الفاعلة في هذه القضية والتحولات السياسية التي تعرفها المنطقة. وتهدف هذه الدراسة إلى المساهمة في فهم جذور مشكلة لم تجد حلا جذريا حتى الآن، كما تطرح رؤية تاريخية موضوعية ونقدية واضحة تبين أن نزاع الصحراء هو مشكلة ذات حلول ممكنة. واتبع الباحث منهج البحث التاريخي الوصفي والتحليلي في جمع البيانات من الوثائق وبعض المراجع وتحليلها. وخلصت الدراسة إلى أن استمرار هذه المشكلة على مر الوقت يؤكد محدودية التحرك من طرف الجهات الفاعلة، أي الجزائر والمغرب، فكلاهما لديهما الحجج والأسباب الداخلية والخارجية التي تؤدي بهم للحفاظ على هذا الوضع، بالإضافة للموقف الغربي من الصراع. ويوصي الباحث بان هناك العديد من الحلول الممكنة التي يجب أن تتقيد بها جميع الأطراف كحل نهائي لهذه الأزمة، منها الاستفتاء لسكان الصحراء للوصول إلى تقرير المصير أو حكم ذاتي للصحراويين داخل إطار الحكم المغربي أو يتم تقسيم الارض بين المغرب والبوليساريو.
