|f The aim of this study is to reveal the preservation and organization of university dissertations deposited at the College of Post-graduation Studies, University of Al-Neelain and the extent of benefiting from them. In addition, the study aimed to identify the validity of the rule of depositing copies and try to find a suitable solution to the problems of preservation and organization of university dissertations (paper and electronic) deposited at the College of Post-graduation Studies. The study used the documentary approach and the case study approach to examine the reality and come up with many conclusions and recommendations. The study found that postgraduate studies in the College of Post-graduation Studies are highly piled up (paper and electronic) and are not utilized by the beneficiaries. The College of Post-graduation Studies does not provide the minimum means of preservation and safety of dissertations, as well as the poor conservation and regulation have damaged many copies due to the scourge of rats and the humidity. There is also no clear purpose in depositing these copies (paper and electronic) in such number, especially since most of them have been disposed due to damage. Besides that the process of registration and preservation of electronic versions, which in the beginning is a traditional method of conservation, does not use any standard to save these copies nor any automated system to manage digital content. The most important recommendations of the study were the attempt to reconsider the rule of the handing over of copies of university dissertations, and to take advantage of the paper copies currently exist in the Archives Department of the Faculty of Post-graduation Studies in the process of exchange between information institutions in Sudan. It is essential that the College of Post-graduation Studies adopts an automated system for the management of digital content such as D-space system for the preservation, organization and management of electronic copies that are handed over by the researchers to preserve their literary right and scientific effort. The College of Graduate Studies should also provide the assistive devices required to run the system and its implementation to the ground, these devices are such as (a computer, a printer, a server, an automated system, etc.).\nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018

|a هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن حفظ وتنظيم الرسائل الجامعية المودعة بكلية الدراسات العليا جامعة النيلين ومدي الإفادة منها. والتعرف على صلاحية لائحة إيداع النسخ ومحاولة إيجاد حل مناسب لمشكلات حفظ وتنظيم الرسائل الجامعية (الورقية والالكترونية) المودعة بكلية الدراسات العليا. مستخدمة في ذلك المنهج الوثائقي ومنهج دراسة الحالة لدراسة الواقع والخروج بالعديد من النتائج والتوصيات. توصلت الدراسة إلى أن الرسائل الجامعية في كلية الدراسات العليا متكدسة بصورة كبيرة (ورقية وإلكترونية) والتي لا يستفاد منها المستفيدين. لا توفر كلية الدراسات العليا أدنى وسائل لحفظ وسلامة الرسائل، كما أن سوء الحفظ والتنظيم أدي إلى تلف العديد من النسخ بسبب آفة الفئران والرطوبة. كما أنه لا يوجد غرض واضح جراء إيداع تلك النسخ (الورقية والالكترونية) بهذا العدد خاصة وان معظمها تم التخلص منه بسبب التلف. وأن عملية تسجيل وحفظ النسخ الالكترونية والتي تعتبر في بداياتها ما هي إلا طريقة تقليدية للحفظ لا يستخدم فيها أي معيار لحفظ هذه النسخ ولا أي نظام آلي لإدارة المحتوى الرقمي. وكانت من أهم توصيات الدراسة محاولة إعادة النظر في لائحة تسليم نسخ الرسائل الجامعية. والاستفادة من النسخ الورقية الموجودة حاليا قسم الأرشيف بكلية الدراسات العليا في عملية التبادل بين مؤسسات المعلومات في السودان. ومن الضروري أن تتبني كلية الدراسات العليا نظام آلي لإدارة المحتوي الرقمي مثل نظام (D- space) لحفظ وتنظيم وإدارة النسخ الالكترونية التي تسلم من قبل الباحثين لحفظ حقهم الأدبي ومجهودهم العلمي، كما يجب علي إدارة كلية الدراسات العليا توفير المعينات اللازمة لتشغيل النظام وتنفيذه إلي أرض الواقع وهذه المعينات مثل (جهاز حاسوب + طابعة + جهاز سيرفر + نظام آلي ...إلخ).
