تجربة قسم المكتبات والمعلومات بجامعة الدمام في إعداد وتأهيل إختصاصيات للمكتبات والمعلومات: دراسة تحليلية مقارنة للمقررات الدراسية

المستخلص: This study dealt with the academic preparation reality of the specialties of the Department of Libraries and Information at Dammam University , and its compatibility with the requirements of the labor market and comparing it with other libraries in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to study and evaluate the courses in the library and information departments in the Eastern Region, the extent to which they cover basic and modern concepts of specialization, and measuring the quality of outputs and the extent to which they meet the requirements of the labor market in the region. In order to achieve this, the descriptive analytical method has been employed by following the method of content analysis, to analyze and evaluate the study plan of the University of Dammam Libraries Department and the extent to which the readiness of the department to qualify female specialists of information capable of working efficiently in the information market. The comparative approach was used to compare the department's courses with the decisions of the other departments in Saudi Arabia, which were determined by the use of the intentional sample. The study resulted in many results, notably:
The weakness of the courses that represent the main fields and skills in the Department of the University of Dammam and may be attributed to the recent experience of the section, which did not exceed seven years of its establishment.
All the departments under study give interest to the language skills, as this became clear in the size of the courses offered with the exception of the University of Dammam's department, which did not guarantee any of the courses to cover this aspect being one of the necessary and important skills that must be owned by graduates of the department so that they can compete in the labor market.
The percentage of educational courses in the Department of Libraries at the University of Dammam is high , which constituted the highest proportion of coverage compared to other sections.
The library department at the University of Dammam, in its status quo , has a lack in the of readiness in information specialization qualifications . In addition, there is a shortage in the information female specialists possessing the technical and linguistic skills that make them serve effectively in the information market, compared to other departments. The study presented several recommendations that will help to evaluate the academic program in the department.

تناولت هذه الدراسة واقع الإعداد الأكاديمي لاختصاصيات قسم المكتبات والمعلومات بجامعة الدمام ومدى مواكبته لمتطلبات سوق العمل، ومقارنة ذلك مع أقسام المكتبات الأخرى في المملكة العربية السعودية، بهدف دراسة وتقييم المقررات الدراسية التي تدرس بأقسام المكتبات والمعلومات بالمنطقة الشرقية ومدى تغطيتها للمفاهيم الأساسية والحديثة للتخصص، وقياس جودة المخرجات ومدى إيفائها لمتطلبات سوق العمل بالمنطقة. ولتحقيق ذلك، تم توظيف المنهج الوصفي التحليلي بإتباع أسلوب تحليل المحتوى، لتحليل وتقييم الخطة الدراسية لقسم مكتبات جامعة الدمام ومدى جاهزية القسم لتأهيل اختصاصيات معلومات قادرات على العمل بكفاءة واقتدار بسوق العمل المعلوماتي. كما تم توظيف المنهج المقارن لمقارنة مقررات القسم بمقررات الأقسام الأخرى بالمملكة العربية السعودية والتي تم تحديدها بتوظيف العينة العمدية. وقد أسفرت الدراسة عن العديد من النتائج من أبرزها:
ضعف المقررات التي تمثل المجالات الرئيسية والمهارية بقسم جامعة الدمام وقد يعزى ذلك لحداثة تجربة القسم والتي لم تتجاوز السبعة أعوام من إنشائه.
اهتمام جميع الأقسام موضوع الدراسة بالمهارات اللغوية حيث اتضح ذلك في حجم المقررات المطروحة مع استثناء قسم جامعة الدمام والذي لم يضمن أي من المقررات لتغطية هذا الجانب وهي من المهارات الضرورية والمهمة التي يجب أن تمتلكها خريجات القسم حتى يستطعن المنافسة في سوق العمل.
ارتفاع نسبة المقررات التربوية بقسم المكتبات بجامعة الدمام والتي شكلت أعلى نسبة تغطية مقارنة بالأقسام الأخرى.
عدم جاهزية قسم المكتبات بجامعة الدمام بوضعه الراهن من تأهيل اختصاصيات معلومات يمتلكن من المهارات الفنية والتقنية واللغوية التي تجعلهن يخدمن بفاعلية بسوق العمل المعلوماتي، هذا إذا ما قورن بالأقسام الأخرى. هذا وقد قدمت الدراسة العديد من التوصيات التي من شأنها أن تساعد على تقويم البرنامج الأكاديمي بالقسم.
