Islam is a complete code of life. One of its many outstanding characteristics is the distinguished economic system it has outlined for humanity. Islamic economic system has many attributes, features and perspectives. Distribution of inheritance is one of the important pillars of this system which is full of wisdom and consideration towards the needs of society. Women are also entitled to inheritance in addition to men. However, as the enemies of Islam, from within and outside, have engaged themselves in futile efforts to damage the cause of Islam, they have also tried to misguide others and themselves with regards to the Islamic economic system. One of the propagandas they do is based on the share of women in inheritance which they object to be less than that of men. However, those who understand the fiqh of inheritance know that women sometimes get the inheritance equivalent to that of men and sometimes higher than that. Even in some circumstances, women get the share and men do not. There are only four scenarios or situations in which women get less share then men. It is accordingly proven in this paper that the propaganda of atheists and the ill-informed is completely unjustified and base-less . |
