|f The return to heritage today is a matter of great importance, on the one hand, to fortify oneself in the face of the acceleration of the other, and on the other hand to re-resurrect the ancestral values that many of us count from the achievements of the other, even though they are at the heart of our ancestors. Returning to heritage means not only digging up the past and its evidence but also reviving the past and making it live in us. It does not mean living in the present with the mentality of the past, but to be inspired by the past to help us interact with our present. Here there was the need to call the woman who was married to her conceptual husband, reason, and freedom in order to enlighten him in light of the pervasive inflexibility isolation and touching in our contemporary Islamic consciousness. |a تعتبر العودة إلى التراث اليوم مسألة ذات أهمية كبرى، من جهة لتحصين الذات أمام تسارع وافد الآخر، ومن جهة أخرى لإعادة بعث قيم الأسلاف التي يحسبها الكثير منا من إنجازات الآخر، رغم انها من صلب أسلافنا. والعودة إلى التراث لا تعني مجرد نبش في الماضي وفي شواهده بقدر ما هي إحياء لهذا الماضي وجعله يعيش فينا، ومن دون أن يعني ذلك أيضاً العيش في الحاضر بعقلية الماضي، بل أن نستلهم من الماضي ما يعيننا على التفاعل مع حاضرنا. فكانت هنا الحاجة إلى استدعاء المعتزلة بزوجها المفهومي العقل والحرية، للاستنارة به في ظل تفشي التشدد والانغلاق والتطرق في وعينا الإسلامي المعاصر. وهو رهاننا اليوم من أجل بلورة نظرة عقلانية لتراثنا الديني.
