|a يستعرض هذا البحث جوانب من تاريخ حاضرة مدينة بادس الإسلامية، وهي مدينة سادت ذات يوم وكانت منارة من منارات شواطئ البحر المتوسط في المغرب الأقصى، والتي ساهمت في صياغة فصول من تاريخ الغرب الإسلامي، وانفتاح المغرب على الخارج، خاصة بلاد الأندلس. وقد تميزت المدينة بمختلف الجوانب التي تؤكد على حضارتها، حيث شهدت عمرانا ضم المرافق التي ميزت المدن الإسلامية خلال العصر الوسيط، كما اشتهرت بإشعاعها الديني والعلمي، واستقبال هجرة أندلسية مهمة، ونشاط اقتصادي بارز.
