تحتل العمليات الاتصالية أسمي مكانة في الأفعال الإنسانية بالغة التأثير في حياة البشر، ومعظم الاحتياجات الفردية والمجتمعية تقوم على العمليات الاتصالية، ويعد الاتصال القائم على اللغة هو الأوسع انتشارا والأقوى تأثيرا والأسهل استخداما. ويزخر التراث العربي بإسهامات واضحة في هذا الميدان العلمي. ويعد الجاحظ من أوفر العلماء العرب حظا في ملاحظة الاتصال اللغوي الواقعي ومراقبته، مدونا ملاحظاته في كتبه لا سيما (البيان والحيوان)، في أسلوب مرن أقرب إلى السرد والحكاية، معتمدا على ملاحظة الواقع الاجتماعي والوقائع اللغوية، ومن ثم فهو ينقل صورا للتخاطب والاتصال في ذلك العصر المفعم بحيوية الجدل والمحاجة، ملاحظا ومدونا ما يتعلق بالاتصال الفعال في المجتمع الإنساني أو التجمعات الإنسانية بلغة مشتركة واحدة أو بلغة هجين. ومن هنا فقد اختار الباحثان استقراء نصوص الجاحظ لاستنباط المبادئ الأساسية للاتصال اللغوي الفعال ضمن مفهوم البيان مقارنة الاتصال عند المحدثين، ومفهوم عناصر الاتصال لدى الجاحظ والمحدثين وصولا إلى استراتيجيات الإقناع. وقد خلص الباحثان إلى أن الجاحظ قد رسم ملامح نظرية اتصالية متكاملة الأركان محددة المفاهيم منطلقا من مفهوم البيان والخطابة.
It is well known that the communicative processes occupy the most important role in human experience and highly influenced the lives of human beings. Most of the individual and social needs are based on the communication processes. The language-based communication is considered as the most common, the most influential and easier to use. The Arabic folklore is full of contributions in this scientific field of communication. One of the most influential Arab scholars in this field is Al -Jahedh. He observed and monitored the realistic linguistic communication and wrote his observations and remarks in his books "Al Bayan" and "Al Hayawan" (Animal) in a flexible narrative and story – telling style. Hebased his remarks on the observation of the social reality and facts of language. Thus, he conveyed different styles of communication in that era, which was full of lively debates and arguments. He observed the effective communication in human society and gatherings of humanity, which used one common language, or hybrid of language. The researchers chose to analyze the texts of Al -Jahedh to derive the basic principles of effective communication in Al -Jahedh’s books and compared them to the principles of modern communication. Also, they compared the concept of Al-Jahedh’s communication elements with the modern elements of communication all the way to the strategies of persuasion. The researchers concluded that Al -Jahedh had drawn the features of an integrated theory of communication based on the concept of rhetoric and discourse.
