المستخلص: يحتاج المجتمع العربي، في أوقات الأزمات إلى جامعة قادرة على تقديم حلول مبتكرة وفتح آفاقا جديدة. كما قال اينشتاين، "المشاكل لا يمكن حلها عن طريق نفس المستوى من التفكير الذي أوجدها". لذلك، كان من الضروري البحث عن حلول فعالة على مستوى أعلى. وتلعب مؤسسات التعليم العالي وخاصة الجامعات دورا رئيسيا في رفع الوعي بالمسؤولية الاجتماعية المستدامة التي تلبي احتياجات الحاضر دون المساس بقدرة الأجيال المقبلة على تلبية احتياجاتها الخاصة.
وتقدم هذه الورقة مثالا إيجابيا للجامعات العربية، والسعي لخلق بيئة إبداعية منظمة وفعالة تساهم في تحقيق المسؤولية الاجتماعية والتنمية المستدامة للجامعة.
ولتحويل جامعتنا العربية إلى مؤسسات مسئولة اجتماعيا ومستدامة ، ينبغي دمج جميع المبادئ السبعة للمسؤولية الاجتماعية ( المساءلة، الشفافية، السلوك الأخلاقي، أصحاب المصلحة، سيادة القانون، المعايير الدولية للسلوك، حقوق الإنسان، والمواد الأساسية للمسؤولية الاجتماعية (الإدارة التنظيمية وحقوق الإنسان وممارسات العمل والبيئة وقضايا المستهلك، وممارسات التشغيل العادلة ، ومشاركة وتنمية المجتمع) ، وكل الأبعاد الأربعة للتنمية المستدامة (البيئية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية والأخلاقية) داخل ممارسات العمل اليومية للجامعة، مع الآخذ في الاعتبار جميع المصطلحات والتوجيهات الواردة بالموصفات القياسية الدولية. وسوف يساعد هذا النموذج الجامعات العربية أن تصبح مؤسسات مسئولة اجتماعيا مع تحقيق فهما أعمق للتفاعل بين البعد البيئي
والاقتصادي والاجتماعي والأخلاقي للتنمية المستدامة. ونحن نأمل مخلصين أن تكون الجامعات العربية قادرة على إقناع غيرها من المؤسسات التعليمية العامة والخاصة الحكومية وغير الحكومية والصناعية لتحذو حذوها.

In times of crisis, Arab society needs a university that is capable of providing innovative solutions and opening new horizons. As Einstein said, “Problems cannot be solved by the same level of thinking that created them.” Therefore, it was necessary to seek effective solutions at a higher level. Higher education institutions, especially universities, play a key role in raising awareness of sustainable social responsibility that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
This paper provides a positive example for Arab universities and seeks to create an innovative and organized environment that contributes to achieving social responsibility and sustainable development of the university.
To transform our Arab universities into socially responsible and sustainable institutions, all seven principles of social responsibility should be integrated, which are (accountability, transparency, ethical behaviour, stakeholders, rule of law, international standards of behaviour, human rights, and basic social responsibility materials (organizational management, human rights, practices of labour, environment and consumer issues, fair operating practices, community participation and development) as well as all the four dimensions of sustainable development which are related to (environment, economy, society and morals) within the daily practices of the university, taking into account all the terms and guidance contained in international standards. This model will help Arab universities become socially responsible institutions with a deeper understanding of the interaction between the environmental, economic, social and ethical dimensions of sustainable development. We sincerely hope that Arab universities will be able to persuade other public, private, governmental, non-governmental and industrial educational institutions to follow its footsteps.
