The Accounting and Auditing Organization of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has had a unique experience in accounting literature, which would enable it to enrich accounting thought if carefully studied. Despite the cultural and religious convergence of societies and language, there is a divergence between the criteria used as a basis for comparing practices in the other member states of the Accounting and Auditing Organization of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Perhaps the truth is that this basis is not genuine, which has contributed to the inappropriateness of the proposed intellectual framework and professional standards. The inherent standards emanating from the existing economic and cultural body in which these standards are applied and exercised may be more likely to be accepted by the Member States if the issue of normative legislation is overcome. The study recommends that the Authority focus for the time being to be a channel through which the efforts of professional bodies and associations converge, and that efforts be made in providing continuous training and education that elevates the aspirations of practitioners of the profession of accounting and auditing, while framing and standardizing procedures and practices remain a vision on the horizon and be implemented by using an appropriate approach.
Putting the interests of the generations of professionals into the eyes of the current members and counting on God's reward makes it imperative for the Authority to be an umbrella under which those who want to be a practitioner of a profession that members of the communities in the region regard respectfully, and the current members will be happy to have contributed and been the reason for the survival of this body.
