المستخلص: L’objet de cet article est d’instituer la critique culturelle et d’exposer les différents domaines disciplinaires qui s’y attachent, notamment en Occident, telles quela culture des moyens, les études culturelles et l’école de Francfort. Par ailleurs, cette étude vise aussi de jeter la lumière sur l’usage de ce concept dans les études arabes, particulièrement celles menées par le critique saoudien, Abdallah Ghadhami, tout en mettant en exergue les glissements ainsi que les foyers fonctionnels de la dite critique

This article attempts to establish cultural criticism and display the knowledge fields associated with it in the West, such as the culture of means, cultural studies, and the Frankfurt School of thought. It also highlights the migration of this term to Arabs, specifically to the Saudi critic Abdullah Al-Ghathami, explaining the pitfalls of this criticism as well as its bright spots.

تحاول هذه المقالة التأسيس للنقد الثقافي وعرض الحقول المعرفية المرتبطة به غربيا، مثل ثقافة الوسائل والدراسات الثقافية ومدرسة فرانكفورت، كما تسلط الضوء على ارتحال هذا المصطلح عند العرب، تحديدا عند الناقد السعودي "عبدالله الغدامي" مع بيان مزالق هذا النقد وكذا بؤره المضيئة.
