المستخلص: Todays’ GIS have become dependent on the information technologies and communication (IcTs) to support procesess of all gis functions and activities technology acts as a major requisite. Geographical Information Systems or Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) is a collection of tools that captures, stores, analyzes, manages, and presents data that are linked to geographical locations. Cloud computing One of these technologies which has changed the ways we exchange GIS information and presentation of this interpreted and analyzed GIS data to the end user or the client. cloud computing has a great role in mounting the heights on which GIS , Cloud computing has helped the facades of GIS functions particularly in achieving flexibility and efficiency like never before. The GIS has again played its role in giving new dimensions to these business functions via the Cloud Computing.GIS applications going to move from the desktop into the cloud computing, where GIS applications and geographic books are hosted on a “cloud” consisting of thousands of computers and servers this can gain many benefits for GIS appliacation also faces many problems such as security .
