تهدف الدراسة إلى التعرف على دور المكتبات الجامعية ومدى إسهامها في مكافحة التطرف الفكري والإرهاب لتحقيق الأمن القومي، والوقوف على المعوقات التي تقابلها لتحقيق ذلك، ومدى تأهيل إخصائي المكتبات بالجامعات المصرية للقيام بدوره في مكافحة التطرف الفكري والإرهاب. وقد اعتمدت الباحثة في دراستها على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتم الاعتماد على الاستبيان كأداة منهجية لتجميع البيانات من المكتبات الجامعية الحكومية بالقاهرة الكبرى (جامعة القاهرة، وجامعة عين شمس، وجامعة حلوان، وجامعة الأزهر)، وقد توصلت الدراسة لعدة نتائج منها: اهتمام المكتبات محل الدراسة باقتناء مصادر المعلومات التي تهدف إلى توعية المستفيدين من التطرف الفكري والإرهاب، ومن جانب أخر القصور الشديد في الأنشطة والخدمات المقدمة بالمكتبات الجامعية لمكافحة التطرف الفكري والإرهاب، لذا قامت الباحثة بالتخطيط لبرنامج توعية لمكافحة التطرف الفكري والإرهاب يقدم بالمكتبات الجامعية المصرية.
The study aims to identify the role of university libraries and their contribution to the fight against intellectual extremism and terrorism in order to achieve national security, standing on the corresponding constraints to achieve it, and how rehabilitation of librarians in Egyptian universities to play its role in combating terrorism and intellectual extremism. The researcher has relied on descriptive analytical study, relying on the questionnaire as a methodological tool to collect data from State University libraries in greater Cairo (Cairo University, Ain Shams University, Helwan University, A1-Azhar University). Given these points, the study finds several points: libraries under study possess the needed sources of information which aims to raise awareness among the beneficiaries about intellectual extremism and terrorism. However, these libraries experience severe shortcomings in the activities and services provided to combat intellectual extremism and terrorism. For this sake, the researcher plans in this study an awareness program me to combat intellectual extremism and terrorism to be provided in the Egyptian universities.
