هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على دور الجمعيات الأهلية في التربية البيئية بجمهورية مصر العربية؛ ولتحقيق هذا الهدف استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي في تناول الإطار النظري للدراسة، كما اعتمد الباحث على أسلوب دراسة الحالة للجمعية الأهلية لحماية البيئة بمحافظة شمال سيناء كنموذج لدور الجمعيات الأهلية في التربية البيئية بجمهورية مصر العربية، واعتمد الباحث على المقابلات الشخصية، وتحليل الوثائق كأدوات الدراسة؛ للتعرف على دور الجمعية في مجال التربية البيئية والمعوقات التي واجهتها. وقد أكدت نتائج دراسة الحالة على أهمية الدور الذي تلعبه الجمعية الأهلية لحماية البيئة بمحافظة شمال سيناء في التربية البيئية، من خلال تحقيق البعدي النظري والعلمي للتربية البيئية، إلا أن هذا الدور المهم واجهته معوقات متعددة أثرت على فعاليته واتساعه. لذا قدم الباحث في نهاية الدراسة تصوراً مقترحاً لتطور دور الجمعيات الأهلية في التربية البيئية بمحافظة شمال سيناء بصفة خاصة، وبجمهورية مصر العربية بصفة عامة، ويقوم هذا التصور المقترح على ضرورة توفير نوعين رئيسين من المتطلبات، وهذه المتطلبات خاصة بدور كل من الدولة والجمعيات الأهلية في هذا المجال.
This study aimed at identifying the role of community based organizations in environmental education at the Arab Republic of Egypt. To achieve this goal, the researcher used descriptive analytical approach in dealing with the theoretical framework of the study. The researcher adopted the approach of case study in the case of the community based organization for the protection of the environment at North Sinai Govemorate as a model for the role of community based organizations in environmental education in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The researcher depends on personal interviews and the analysis of documents as a tool for the study to identify the role of the Assembly in the field of environmental education and also to recognize the obstacles encountered. The results of the case study indicated the importance of the role played by the community based organization for the protection of the environment at North Sinai Govemorate in environmental education through achieving the theoretical and practical dimensions of environmental education, but that important role faced by many obstacles that have affected its effectiveness. So the researcher at the end of the study presented a proposal to develop the role of community based organizations in environmental education at North Sinai in particular and for the Arab Republic of Egypt in general, This proposal is based on the need to provide two main requirements, these requirements are related to the role of both the nation and community based organizations in this field .
