لقد أدهشت حضارات الشرق الأوسط الباحثين وعلماء الآثار بما حوت. فقد نمت المحتويات عن تطور في بناء حضاري متكامل ومتطور. وقد كان للجانب الفكري الدور الأكثر أهمية، والذي دل على رقي تلك الحضارات. انطلاقاً من أبجديات متنوعة، إلى صيغ قانونية، ونظم سياسية، مروراً بأدب متنوع، وفن على مستوى ما زال يحير الجميع بدقة صنعته وقوته وتعدد أوجهه. وإحدى إبداعات تلك الحضارات تتمثل في الأختام الأسطوانية إذ تعد الأختام نقلة حضارية، ومظهراً من مظاهر تطور الفن، وتساعد في رصد الأحداث التاريخية وتشخيصها، وتعطي فكرة عن الأقوام التي استعملتها من هنا نبعت أهميتها كمدخل غير تقليدي لإثراء خزفيات طلاب التربية الفنية كونها أحدي الإضافات النادرة والثرية لحضارات الشرق الأوسط عملاً نحو تأصيل فنوننا المعاصرة وربطها بجذورها الحضارية تأكيداً لهويتنا في عالم تعصف به المتغيرات الحديثة. وتمثلت مشكلة البحث في التساؤل التالي: • كيف يمكن الإفادة من الأختام الأسطوانية في إثراء خزفيات طلاب التربية الفنية؟ وهدف البحث إلى عدة نقاط منها: • الإفادة من الأختام الأسطوانية للحضارات في إثراء الأبعاد التشكيلية والتعبيرية لخزفيات طلاب التربية الفنية. • تفعيل دور الخزف المعاصر في إبراز أهمية الموروث الحضاري للفنون. • تأكيد أهمية الاستفادة من فنون حضاراتنا . • إبراز الهوية العربية والمصرية في فنوننا المعاصرة. افترض الباحث أنه: يمكن الإفادة من الأختام الأسطوانية في إثراء خزفيات طلاب التربية الفنية من خلال الأساليب المختلفة لإعدادها واستخدامها في مراحل التشكيل المختلفة. تتمثل أهمية البحث في نقاط منها: • يعد البحث دراسة رائدة في تناول فنون الأختام الأسطوانية كمدخل لإثراء خزفيات طلاب التربية الفنية. • يسهم البحث في الكشف عن حلول مبتكرة لمعالجة أسطح الأعمال الخزفية. اتبع البحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي في شقه النظري حيث تناول الأختام الأسطوانية بالتأريخ والتحليل والمنهج التجريبي في شقة التطبيقي على عينة من طلاب التربية الفنية بكلية التربية النوعية جامعة عين شمس. وقد أشارت النتائج إلى فاعلية الأختام الأسطوانية من خلال تقنيات ومراحل التشكيل وتنوعها متزاوجة مع تنوع الزخارف بروح معاصرة في عمليات تجريبية عديدة في إثراء خزفيات طلاب التربية الفنية.
